Greenbelt, Md. — The National Asphalt Pavement Association (NAPA) announced today that Brox Industries Inc. of Dracut, Mass., won a 2022 Quality in Construction Award for excellence in construction of an asphalt pavement. The company was recognized today during the association’s 68th Annual Meeting.

“The asphalt pavement industry is committed to building high-quality projects that deliver superior performance to the traveling public. All contractors’ projects earning a Quality in Construction award are measured against best practices designed to live up to that commitment,” said 2022 NAPA Chairman James A. Mitchell. “Earning the Quality in Construction Award demonstrates that Brox Industries Inc. has met or exceeded these rigorous standards.”

Brox Industries won the award for its work on the Eastern Turnpike (I-95) in Rockingham County, N.H. To reduce the number of construction joints in the new pavement, the company milled and overlaid the southbound side in just eight paving shifts, and the longer northbound side in just 12 pavement shifts. Brox Industries produced a smooth, high-quality asphalt pavement that will serve motorists well for many years.
