David Slater – June 2024 Winner
We are delighted to announce that David Slater has been named the Brox Safety Champion Award Winner for June. When loading the bins for the asphalt plants in Dracut, material can go over the top of the bins on occasion if the loader is moving too fast.
Adam Margosian – May 2024 Winner
Please join us in congratulating Adam Margosian, our Safety Champion Award Winner for the month of May. After a trailer dump had just delivered material, Adam immediately noticed that the tailgate was hanging on by just the top right corner pin.
Nominations
Be sure to send in your nomination by the 25th of the month. All nominations must include employee’s first and last name.
What is it?
The Brox Safety Champion Award was developed to acknowledge and recognize individuals who are taking extra steps to promote health and safety, and to reduce accidents, incidents, and injuries to employees, or visitors.
Process
- A Safety Champion will be selected monthly during our Season (April – November).
- All Brox Industries, Inc. and CMI Leasing Corporation Employees are asked to nominate a deserving employee by the 25th of each month.
- Nominators must provide information to support the award nomination by describing the individual’s achievements, contributions, and impact on workplace safety considering one of the following areas:
Topic Meaning Safety Leadership Leadership in advocacy of worker safety and health initiatives which are above and beyond the traditional scope of one’s position. Promotion of Teamwork Encouragement of team safety awareness, communications, and advocacy of safe and healthy workplace. Hazard Identification and Correction Encouragement of improved safety self‐audits, incident reporting, and other practices which lead to hazard reduction. - BSMT will meet to select the winner.
- At the end of the season, the BSMT will review and select the Safety Champion of the Year from the monthly winners.
Criteria
- To be eligible for this award, the nominee must be a current employee of Brox Industries, Inc. or CMI Leasing Corporation.
- Current members of the BSMT are ineligible.
- Monthly winners will receive a $100.00 gift certificate from Market Basket.
- Annual winner will receive a $500.00 gift certificate from Home Depot.
- All winners will be featured on our company webpage, Social Media Sites, and in our quarterly newsletter.
Note: Employees may win this award more than once.
