In 1870, the first true asphalt pavement to be installed on a roadway in the United States was on a small section of road in Newark, NJ. Although this was a simple sand mix formulation, it proved to be so successful that shortly thereafter, a large section of Pennsylvania Avenue, in Washington, D.C., was paved with a similar product. Today over 94 percent of the paved roadway surfaces in the United States utilize asphalt based pavements to provide safe, quiet and smooth roads for the general public.
At Brox Industries, Inc., our mission is to make the lives of our customers, employees, and everybody that utilizes the roads and highways throughout Massachusetts and New Hampshire, as smooth as possible.
